Announcing a Powerful New Collaboration with YWCA Hartford Region
Yoga In Our City proudly announces a powerful new collaboration with YWCA Hartford Region!
YWCA Hartford Region’s mission to eliminate racism and empower women aligns seamlessly with Yoga In Our City’s work to harness yoga’s community-building power to create real social change. We’re building stronger and more compassionate communities by creating opportunities for all.
“YWCA Hartford Region is pleased to be a part of a powerful collaboration with Yoga in Our City and its Happy Warrior® Training Yoga Teacher Training Program,” said Adrienne W. Cochrane, Chief Executive Officer, YWCA Hartford Region. “Through this program, community participants will be more engaged in advocating for social equity and service in our community.”
This alliance brings together the strengths of both organizations to foster equity, service, and advocacy across Hartford and beyond. By uniting our efforts, we can reach more people and better support our communities, creating a stronger foundation for inclusive leadership – on and off the mat.
YWCA Hartford Region is supporting the Happy Warrior® Yoga Teacher Training Program as the first significant initiative in this collaboration. This program empowers local leaders, educators, and health advocates to become certified yoga instructors.
“This collaboration with YWCA Hartford Region marks an exciting new chapter in our mission to create lasting social change through yoga. Together, we’re expanding our impact and empowering communities to foster leadership, equity, and service—on and off the mat,” said TJ Clynch, Founder of Yoga In Our City.
Applications are now open for the 2024-25 cohort, which will start this October. Learn more about this unique and innovative trauma-sensitive training program: click here.
