Our work builds a culture of health and community well-being.
Communities grow stronger when families are able to achieve their full potential together.
Yoga In Our City is rooted in the Aspen Institute’s 2Gen public policy to advance social equity and well-being using a “whole family approach” to achieve intergenerational prosperity.
As we’ve grown, so has our teaching team thanks to our Happy Warrior® teacher training program. Our training programs are available at CT State Community College, where we certify our teachers with a focus on equity, service and advocacy.
We collaborate with like-minded organizations to offer yoga classes throughout Connecticut.

Serving Our Community
Yoga In Our City teachers show up in our community to offer classes, workshops, information sessions, and speaking engagements to promote health and well-being for the whole family.
Through partnerships with nonprofits and other organizations, we work to make yoga and mindfulness inclusive and accessible to everyone.
Yoga In Our City has worked with 50+ organizations across Connecticut to deliver wellness programming to 15,000+ individuals through over 10,000+ classes and community events
Connecticare
We celebrated the launch of our Parks Program with ConnectiCare, our presenting partner, at Bushnell Park in Hartford. This event featured three, 15-minute yoga workshops led by Hartford yoga teachers and a local professional sound healer.
Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity
Yoga In Our City partnered with the Commission on Women, Children, Seniors, Equity & Opportunity at the State Capitol’s Annual Autism Awareness event. The goal of this event is to share information about Autism and increase awareness of community resources available across the state. The Yoga In Our City table featured giveaways and brochures with an overview of the benefits of yoga and what participants can expect when they attend our classes.
Hartford Yard Goats
Yoga In Our City partnered with Connecticare and the Hartford Yard Goats to offer yoga sessions at Dunkin’ Field throughout the summer. Every session sold out with more than 100 participants at each event. These sessions were an opportunity for first time attendees to experience a Yoga In Our City class in a fun, familiar environment.
